VEGA Tasting is an iPhone app from VEGA Works. These are the terms for using it. Using the app means you accept them.

What the app does

VEGA Tasting keeps a record of what's in your cellar and what you've already drunk. It ranks what you have against tonight's dish. When you're buying, it points you toward a style, a grape, a region. Everything stays on your iPhone.

It's for your own use. Don't copy it, modify it, take it apart, or redistribute it.

Age and drinking

VEGA Tasting is for people old enough to drink where they live. It isn't meant for children.

What the app shows is a suggestion drawn from what you've recorded. How much you drink, or whether you drink at all, is your own decision.

Purchases

Purchases go through the App Store. Payment, refunds and subscription management follow Apple's terms. VEGA Works never receives your payment details.

The yearly plan is free for 14 days, then renews once a year. The monthly plan has no trial. Both can be cancelled from the App Store at any time. The one-time purchase is a single payment, and you can share it with your family.

What the one-time purchase covers

The one-time purchase covers every feature that runs on your iPhone, for good, including ones we add later. Only a feature that needs a server could ever be sold on its own. Nothing you've already paid for will move behind another paywall.

Keeping records is free, has no limit, and stays that way. Anything you've already saved stays readable whether or not you've bought anything.

If you turn on iCloud

Turning it on is optional. Your records live in your own iCloud, under your Apple Account, and Apple's terms apply to them. VEGA Works can't see them. You can turn it off in settings at any time, and what's on your iPhone stays.

The privacy policy describes exactly what happens to that data.

What we can't promise

What the app shows is a suggestion drawn from what you've recorded. Taste is personal, and the final choice is always yours.

The app is provided as it is. We can't promise it will be free of faults or always available. To the extent the law allows, VEGA Works is not liable for losses arising from its use.

Changes

These terms may change. When they do, the date at the top changes. If the app is ever discontinued, we will say so in advance.
